External Students

Applications for external students to Highlands Sixth Form for September 2025 had a deadline of 31st January 2025.  All applications completed after this date will only be considered on enrolment day - 22nd August 2025, when attending in person to see if any places are still available.

Internal applicants

Admissions criteria

A level entry requirements:

A minimum of 6 grades 9-4 with at least 3 grades 9-6 at GCSE including maths (grade 5) and English (grade 5) and a grade B/6 in each of the subjects to be studied at A level. 

BTEC entry requirements: 

A minimum of 6 grades 9-3 with at least 3 grades 9-4 at GCSE including maths (grade 4) and English (grade 4). 

Two A levels and 1 BTEC requirement: 

A minimum of 6 grades 9-3 with at least 3 grades 9-4 at GCSE including maths (grade 5) and English (grade 5). The entry requirements for the A level they want to pursue. 

One A level and 2 BTECs requirement: 

A minimum of 6 grades 9-3 with at least 3 grades 9-4 at GCSE including maths (grade 4) and English (grade 4). The entry requirements for the A level they want to pursue.
