Behaviour Policy
Following the new behaviour policy we shared with you in September 2020 we have created this website to guide you through some key parts of the policy with some embedded videos for your viewing. You will find we have made some changes to the policy keeping the new COVID procedures in mind. This website does not replace the policy. To see the full behaviour policy please click here.

Key points from the behaviour policy

The top 25% of students will be rewarded at the end of half term.

School starts at 8:30 a.m. for all year groups.

Mobile phones are banned on - site and should not be used at any point. On the first occurrence of mobile confiscation the student will be issued with a 40 minute on the day detention. If the phone is confiscated before the cut off point for detention, it can be collected by the student that day, after detention.

Chewing gum is a banned item in school and students will receive a same day, 40 minute detention if they are found with this item.

Trainers of any brand or style are not permitted.

The detention system is a 40 minute detention.

A student who receives a detention before 1:40 p.m. will be required to stay behind that day for a whole school detention. A student who receive a detention after 1:40 p.m. will be required to attend the whole school detention the next day.

No piercings other than one pair of studs in each ear and no jewellery, other than a religious symbol worn inside the school shirt, is permitted. Any non-permitted jewellery seen will be confiscated and result in a 40 minute detention.

Our behaviour policy motto is 'prevention before sanction' and we have a clear set of classroom and whole school expectations in line with this.
